SPENCER SAVINGS BANK CELEBRATES ARTWORK
OF ROSELLE STUDENTS
ELMWOOD PARK, NJ (February 13, 2008) – Spencer Savings Bank is displaying artwork from the students of the Roselle Public School Annex at its Roselle branch located at 220 Chestnut Street. On Thursday, February 7th, Spencer sponsored transportation and hosted a bank tour for the students to view their artwork and learn about banking.
The Roselle Public School Annex is currently working on opening a puppet theater, an effort through which they will be expanding their educational curriculum by incorporating language arts within their art program. The theater is expected to be fully functional by March, and will be used to entertain the Pre-K students. The students of the art program have been working diligently on designing all of the puppets for the theater.
“At Spencer Savings Bank, we are committed to the success of the community as well as the children that reside in it,” said Claudette Lovely-Brown, Roselle Branch Manager. “It gives me great joy to celebrate the achievements of these children and we are proud to recognize the talents of these students and the dedication of the Roselle Public School Annex teachers.”
