SPENCER SAVINGS BANK TEAMS UP WITH LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS FOR CLIFTON’S ANNUAL CAREER EXPLORATION DAY
ELMWOOD PARK, NJ (May 8, 2008) –Spencer Savings Bank recently teamed up with The Clifton Boys & Girls Club and The North Jersey Regional Chamber of Commerce for the 1st Annual Career Exploration Day. Sara Justo, a Clifton High School senior, joined the staff of Spencer's Clifton Branch to explore one of her possible career interests which was banking. Sara worked alongside several employees throughout the day, including Branch Manager Ed Kurbansade.
The concept of Career Exploration Day is to help our local students facilitate their career decision making process by pairing them with approved local businesses in Clifton. The students learn first hand about their chosen profession, and about possible career opportunities that may be available in the future.
"I enjoyed the experience of spending the day here at Spencer,” said Sara Justo. “Everyone that I met was very nice and I learned a lot of things about banking that I did not know.”
