SPENCER SAVINGS BANK ANNOUNCES ITS HOLIDAY TOY DRIVE TO LIFT SPIRITS OF LOCAL SICK CHILDREN

ELMWOOD PARK, NJ (December 4, 2009) – Spencer Savings Bank, headquartered in Elmwood Park, announced that it will be collecting toys from December 1st – December 14th in all 18 branch locations. Toys for donation should be new, unwrapped, and of any price range, however stuffed animals will not be accepted. Newborn through teenage toys and gift items are all being collected.

For the fourth consecutive year, Spencer’s Holiday Toy Drive will provide gifts for children who are hospitalized during the holiday season. On December 18th, Santa Claus, along with his Spencer Elves, will make their way from the Spencer Savings Bank headquarters in Elmwood Park to St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital Oncology Unit in Paterson followed by the Joseph M. Sanzari Children's Hospital at the Hackensack University Medical Center. Finally, Santa and his crew will make a last stop at the NJ Community Development Corporation, an organization committed to providing housing, education and youth development to low-income families in the community.
