SPENCER SAVINGS BANK DONATES MORE THAN $50,000 TO AMERICAN RED CROSS HAITI EARTHQUAKE RELIEF EFFORTS

ELMWOOD PARK, NJ (February 16, 2010) – Spencer Savings Bank announced today that it has pledged a total donation of $50,000 to the American Red Cross International Response Fund to aid the victims of the Haiti Earthquake. In addition to the corporate pledge, bank employees donated an additional $4,660.

"Our hearts go out to the people of Haiti and everything they are experiencing during this difficult time. We, along with the rest of the world, are deeply saddened and at a great loss for words," said José B. Guerrero, President, Chairman and CEO of Spencer Savings Bank. "So many employees have been asking how they can help. We are very happy to be making this donation to the American Red Cross International Response Fund. Our prayers and thoughts are with the people of Haiti."

Donations made will provide immediate relief and long-term support through supplies, technical assistance and other support to help those in need. The American Red Cross honors donor intent.
