SPENCER SAVINGS BANK PARTNERS WITH THE WALLINGTON LITTLE LEAGUE AND THE WALLINGTON LIONS CLUB TO HOST "MOVIES UNDER THE STARS"

GARFIELD, NJ (September 16, 2010) –Spencer Savings Bank, headquartered in Elmwood Park, recently co-sponsored "Movies Under the Stars" along with the Garfield YMCA at the 20th Century Field on Saturday, September 11th. The feature film was "Avatar" which drew a crowd of almost 700 people. Volunteers from both organizations were on hand making freshly popped popcorn and cotton candy, serving refreshments and distributing raffle tickets to the crowd. Overall, the event raised $1,000. All of the proceeds will benefit the YMCA's Strong Kids Campaign.

"It was an honor to be able to provide this night of movies to Garfield residents while partnering with, and supporting, such a great cause," stated Marzena Czachor, Garfield Branch Manager. "Spencer was pleased to be able to end the summer with a big bang by bringing this extremely popular award-winning film to town."
