ELMWOOD PARK, NJ (December 1, 2011) – Spencer Savings Bank, a mutually-owned community savings bank headquartered in Elmwood Park, N.J., has announced that it is currently accepting new, unwrapped toys for ages birth through teen for its annual Toy Drive. Toys can be dropped off in 20 different locations throughout Bergen, Essex, Passaic and Union counties until December 15, 2011. The toys will be donated to St. Joseph's Children's Hospital in Paterson, Joseph M. Sanzari Children's Hospital in Hackensack and Eva's Village in Paterson.
"Children encompass the spirit of the holiday season. Unfortunately, many children and their families will spend the holidays in the hospital or in local shelters. It is our hope that our annual toy drive will continue to brighten their holiday spirit," said José B. Guerrero, Chairman, President and CEO of Spencer Savings Bank. "I am proud to say that our customers and employees have always answered this call for help with great generosity in the toys they donate and we look forward to continue bringing joy to the community."
Toys are needed for children of all ages, especially for infants, toddlers, and teenagers. All toys donated must be new, and unwrapped. No stuffed animals will be accepted. Drop off bins will be located at all 19 Spencer Savings Bank locations as well as at its office headquarters.
