SPENCER WILL HOST "SHRED-IT" DAY FOR SADDLE BROOK RESIDENTS

ELMWOOD PARK, NJ (October 18, 2011) – Spencer Savings Bank will host a "Shred-It" Day at the Saddle Brook branch located at 140 Market Street. The event will take place on Saturday, October 29th between 1:00pm and 3:00pm and is free for all Saddle Brook residents.

Residents can protect themselves against identity theft by shredding personal documents confidentially and securely, at no charge! Shredding your personal documents is one of the safest ways to safeguard your personal information and to prevent identity theft. The US Federal Trade Commission received 250,854 complaints about identity theft during 2010 (nearly one-fifth of the entire number of complaints received by the agency), and for the eleventh year in succession, it was the subject most consumers complained about. Low-tech methods for stealing personal information are still the most popular for identity thieves!
