President’s Letter: Fall 2017November 23, 2017

Greetings Spencer Family,

Welcome to our Fall 2017 newsletter. I am proud to share with you that Spencer has announced the 32 high school and middle school recipients of its 2017 scholarship program. Congratulations to the class of 2017!

In this edition, you will also see our recent involvement with the Bergen County Volunteer Center, Garfield YMCA, Garfield Boys & Girls Club and Eva’s Village – all tremendous organizations serving heartfelt missions across Northern New Jersey.

School classes are back in full swing, and Spencer has a checking account specifically for students. Learn more about StudentEdge Checking in our Service Update. Additionally, homeowners can find helpful information on fixed first lien loans in this issue’s Home Connection.

Lastly, I advise all of our customers to educate themselves on the recent Equifax data breach in the Consumer Alerts section. Take the time to understand what happened and check if your personal information might have been targeted. In the meantime and in line with October’s National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM), the incident is a reminder to all of us about the importance of cybersecurity, which Spencer takes very seriously.

I hope you have a wonderful fall, and as always, thank you for being a valued Spencer customer.

Sincerely,

José B. Guerrero

Chairman, President and CEO
