Spencer Savings Bank, a community bank headquartered in Elmwood Park, N.J., continued its annual toy drive to benefit several local non-profit organizations. For the month of December, Spencer Savings Bank had been collecting toys at each of its 19 branches as well as its headquarters. The donations were made to Eva’s Village (Paterson, NJ), the New Jersey Community Development Corporation (Paterson, NJ), and the Children’s Specialized Hospital (Mountainside, NJ).
“We’re thrilled with the support we continue to receive for this exceptional cause,” said José B. Guerrero, Chairman, President and CEO of Spencer Savings Bank. “It’s refreshing to see such a commitment to extending holiday cheer to so many children in our community. To all of our employees and customers who participated, thank you so much for your generosity.”
On December 12th, the “Spencer Santa” personally delivered the presents and holiday cheer to the children at the New Jersey Community Development Corporation. The team spent time with each of the students, allowing the children the chance to tell Santa their Christmas wishes. Each child was presented with a toy, bringing smiles to the many young faces. On December 19th, the “Spencer Elves” visited the Children’s Specialized Hospital to present each of the children with their specific requested holiday gift. All of the extra toys were delivered to Eva’s Village.
