Morris Habitat For Humanity

Spencer Savings Bank, a community bank headquartered in Elmwood Park, partnered with the Morris Habitat for Humanity for the third straight year by participating in a Build Day. A team of 7 Spencer employees and friends took part in the day’s work on Friday October 27th. The Spencer team worked on two floors of a 3-bedroom unit as part of a 5-unit apartment project in Morristown. Some of the tasks the team performed included caulking, molding, spackling, inventory, and moving sheetrock into the units. Spencer Savings Bank also made a donation of $1,500 to the organization.

“Since Spencer opened our doors for business in Parsippany two years ago, we sought opportunities to partner with the community,” said Lisa Funk, AVP & Parsippany Branch Manager, Spencer Savings Bank. “Habitat for Humanity is a great organization that we’ve been affiliated with for many years. We will always strive to do our part in helping families and communities thrive here and that’s why we will continue to work with the Morris Habitat for Humanity.”
