Spencer Savings Bank has kicked off its annual fundraiser for the Special Olympics. The “Snow Bowl” annual fundraiser has teams raise funds to take part in a flag football tournament at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford. This year the fan favorite event will take place on Sunday, March 11th.
This is no fantasy football game! This official 6-on-6 flag football tournament gives employees the chance to play on a professional football field, and hear the roar of friends and family, as they dive for the goal line while raising funds for thousands of Special Olympics New Jersey athletes. Various fundraising activities are taking place at the Spencer branches until March 5th. Fundraisers include paper trophy sales, chocolate bar sales, bake sales and more. Visit your local Spencer branch to see how you can donate and help raise funds.
“We are so excited to be participating in this event again. It is one of our favorite fundraising events of the year,” said Janel Bazih, VP and Marketing Manager. “We’ve spent the last seven years helping the Special Olympics transform lives through the joy of sports. Spencer has been one of the top 3 fundraising teams for most of that time and has raised almost $100,000 for the organization to date.”
