Protect Yourself From Fraud! Read Full Message

The banking industry continues to see an increase in fraud attempts targeting customers. Staying alert and knowing how to respond are important steps you can take to help protect yourself and your accounts.

If you receive a fraud alert or suspicious phone call, even if the caller ID says Spencer Savings Bank, never provide personal information such as your Social Security number, account or debit card number, PIN, password, or one-time code. End the call and contact us directly to confirm whether the call is legitimate and whether any action is needed.

We encourage you to visit our Fraud Center for best practices and safety tips to help protect yourself from fraud. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our Customer Service Center immediately at 1-800-363-8115.

Beneficial Ownership Information

Beneficial Ownership Information

Beginning January 1, 2024, there are new federal reporting requirements for select small businesses. Many companies in the U.S. will have to report information about their beneficial owners (i.e. individuals who own or control the company). This information will be reported to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), a bureau of the The U.S. Department of the Treasury. Beneficial ownership reporting is a requirement of the Corporate Transparency Act of 2021.
