Protect Yourself From Scammers!
The banking industry has seen an increase in fraud attempts targeting customers. Spencer will never request your one-time passcode/security code, online banking username, password, or PIN via text, email, or phone, nor request that you establish an account at another bank to secure your account balances. If you receive any such request, please do not provide any information. Visit our Fraud Center for best practices and safety tips.

If you receive such a request, do not respond or provide any information. Instead, contact our Customer Service Center immediately at 1-800-363-8115, regardless of the message channel.

FDIC Deposit Insurance

FDIC

Spencer Savings Bank, as a member of the FDIC, wants you to know that your deposits are protected at the maximum level available. By operation of federal law, beginning on January 1, 2013, funds deposited in a noninterest-bearing transaction account (including an Interest on Lawyer Trust Account) no longer will receive unlimited deposit insurance coverage by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). Beginning on January 1, 2013, all of a depositor’s accounts at an insured depository institution, including all noninterest-bearing transaction accounts, will be insured by the FDIC up to the standard maximum deposit insurance amount ($250,000), for each deposit insurance ownership category.

For more information on FDIC insurance, please visit the FDIC website at www.fdic.gov, stop by any of our 27 branch offices or contact Customer Service at (800) 363-8115.
