Spencer Savings Bank, one of New Jersey’s leading community banks, is pleased to announce that it has awarded almost $40,000 in scholarships to local high school graduates. The scholarships are bestowed yearly to exceptional high school seniors in New Jersey. Each student received a $1,500 scholarship for college tuition assistance. Since the commencement of the bank’s scholarship program in 2002, over $700,000 in scholarships has been awarded to deserving students.
“Supporting continuing education means investing in the future of the community, empowering individuals and fostering lifelong learning,” stated Jose B. Guerrero, Chairman and CEO of Spencer Savings Bank. “We are proud to champion education and lifelong learning. Education is the key to unlocking endless opportunities. Congratulations to the Class of 2025! We look forward to the real impact you will make in our community!”
Students from various New Jersey school districts across the state received scholarships. The students and their families attended a scholarship ceremony held at the Spencer Savings Bank financial center in Elmwood Park, NJ. At the ceremony, students were awarded their scholarships, enjoyed a delicious dinner and connected with the bank’s executive and senior leadership teams.
