In her new role, Gencarelli will be focused on providing financing to new business/commercial clients, managing business banking relationships and supporting business client growth.
With over 20 years of experience in the banking industry, Marcella’s extensive background in leadership, community engagement, and business development uniquely positions her to build strong partnerships and foster meaningful relationships across Spencer’s footprint.
An award-winning banking professional, Marcella has been recognized with numerous awards throughout the years, such as the North Jersey YWCA 2023 Tribute to Women of Influence (TWIN) award, the Boy Scouts of America 2019 Tribute to Women award and the Summit Area YMCA Mission Volunteer of the Year award.

Her service on numerous boards has provided her with deep insights into the needs of local organizations and entrepreneurs – some of which include the Gateway Regional Chamber of Commerce (Board Member), the Women’s Center for Entrepreneurship – WCEC (Advisory Council Member) and the Suburban Chamber of Commerce (past Chairwoman).
